Ha! People should know by now not to mess with him!
Keith Olbermann has once again taken on Fox News, Rush Limbaugh and Bill O'Reilly, after Twitter users lashed out at him for supporting a liberal-slanted website!
He responded by writing:

A little slice of paradise. The perfect spot to try and forget about a tumultuous year.

The paparazzi are out in full force in Cabo San Lucas this week, seeing as the place is jammed with celebrities. Surprisingly though, we've only really been seeing shots of LeAnn Rimes and her fiancee Eddie Cibrain.

Huh! How peculiar!

At any rate, the pair seem to be enjoying their getaway. Notice the big smiles as they walk along the beach, hand-in-hand, soaking in all the attention rays.

Ah, guess there's no harm in showing off the love - or their sick swimsuit stomachs!

Dayum! The couple that works out together enjoys the pay off together! Woo!

Ibanez RG370DX Review

You may know Jeffrey Cain from his band Remy Zero, and their contribution of the song "Fair" on the Garden State Soundtrack. Or if you were lucky enough, you may have even caught them opening for Radiohead on the "Bends" tour. You may also have heard the Emmy Nominated theme song to FX's Nip/Tuck... also his. The following is an interview I conducted on 12/6/10 with Jeffrey, a man who is equal parts humble as grateful.

alisa-valdes-rodriguez-author-dirty-girls-social-club.jpg

Oh dear.

Alisa Valdes-Rodriguez, author of the New York Times Bestseller The Dirty Girls Social Club, is calling the TV adaptation of her book "racist, adding that her beloved characters have become "bastardizations" of her original vision.

After getting a hold of the script from an NBC employee, Alisa has said that the series "holds zero appeal for me," when she saw that all the black characters in her book were either removed or changed races and all the Latina females were sexually promiscuous.

Valdes-Rodriguez was so upset with what she saw, she took to her blog to write an angry response:

"[Ann Lopez] (George Lopez's ex-wife) assured me that as a Latina, [screenwriter] Luisa [Leschin] 'gets it.' I believed her. Stupid me. I trusted Ann that she would make good on her promise to run all major changes past me. I trusted her that she would give me final approval of each and every script. I trusted her implicitly and like a sister – in fact, everyone tells me Ann and I are identical in appearance! – until… Ann failed to do any of the things she’d promised, and began to treat me like a pesky intern she wished would go away.

I got [the script] from a lowly 'no one' in the company who is, like so many 'no ones' across this world, loyal to the book’s message of dignity for all walks of life and all people. … I was horrified by what Luisa had done to my book – and even more horrified to discover NBC had requested I be brought in as the writer, only to be told no by Ann.

Luisa managed to weed out every non-U.S. African diaspora character. Put simply, she killed off all the black folks in my story. In her hands my black Colombian character Elizabeth becomes 'a sizzling Colombian' (because we might as well employ cliched language in addition to de-Africanizing her); my mulatta Puerto Rican/Dominican character Usnavys becomes African-American, non Latino, and ends up adhering to every stereotype of the fat-n-sassy oversexed negress 'diva' that Hollywood has ever flung at the viewing public; and my Nigerian-British millionaire heartthrob, Andre Cartier, becomes Andre Carter, an East Indian by way of London. … There is no discernible reason for these changes, other than anti-black racism."

We'd be angry too! The book had so much appeal and the TV script just sounds like another "Hollywood" stereotype.

Thoughts?

How To Get Album Artwork for iTunes

As a parent looking to spur your kids' interest in music, you have the option of either buying them (real) musical instruments or musical toys. Either option has an upside and a downside to it. Starting with the option of buying (real) musical instruments for the kids, the main advantage here is that early exposure to such instruments would tend to have the effect of making the kids very highly refined players of the said instruments.

Ryan Reynolds & Scarlett Johansson Are Dunzo!

Uh oh! We’ve got another celebrity break-up to discuss … and this one is even bigger than Michael C. Hall and Jennifer Carpenter‘s split. The very married Ryan Reynolds and Scarlett Johansson have split up! Despite the fact that both Ryan and Scarlett have recently professed their love for one another in the press, TMZ [...]

I have safely and happily made my way back home from my frigid and snowy home state of Michigan to the warmer climes of California … and it feels good to be home. Even tho I had a lot of fun in Detroit, I really really REALLY hate the cold and the snow so … yeah, I was itching a bit to get back home. I did manage to bring a bit of my home with me to LA … my mom scrounged up my class rings, yearbooks and other school memorabilia so that I could bring them home with me:

I think I’m finally ready to ask David to go steady with me so … he’ll get to wear my high school class ring if he says yes. I know that many folks have asked for high school photos of me but I just can’t find the strength to embarrass myself like that just yet … maybe some day but, nope, not yet.

So yeah … I’m home again … and for a while ;) Tonight, David and I have tickets to see the Broadway musical Next to Normal which is in production here in LA for a few weeks:

We both saw it on Broadway in NYC last year but not together. He loved the show so much he wanted to see it again so … that’s what we’re doing! Happy Tuesday, y’all … it’s great to be home!!

After making a bit of a splash back in 2002 in his feature film debut in 8 Mile (a film which won him an Academy Award for Best Song), Eminem is finally returning to the big screen. Deadline is reporting that Em has signed on to star in a boxing film being produced by Dreamworks. Eminem‘s new film is titled Southpaw:

reamWorks has made a preemptive acquisition of Southpaw, a pitch for a star vehicle for Eminem (Marshall Mathers) that will be written by Sons of Anarchy creator/exec producer Kurt Sutter. Like in Eminem’s 2002 screen starring debut 8 Mile, Southpaw will be fueled by the struggles that inform Eminem’s music and mirror his life. Eminem will play a fast-rising welterweight boxer who brawls his way to the title, only to see his world crash down around him due to tragedy. The movie is about his fight to reclaim past glory … The film will be produced by Eminem’s Shady Films’ managers and producing partners Paul Rosenberg and Stuart Parr, and Alan and Peter Riche of Riche Productions. The deal comes as Eminem’s comeback album, Recovery, just got 10 Grammy Awards nominations … Sutter will begin writing immediately, and he will complete a draft by February, before he and his Anarchy writers begin to plot the fourth season of the series. “There is a rich story her that references his own experience, and I was honored to be able to continue a relationship that began with 8 Mile,” Snider told me. She’ll steer the project with DreamWorks co-president Mark Sourian.

Well it’s about damn time! I totally understand why Em has not taken on any movie roles in the past 8 years considering all the hardships he’s been thru but it is really great news that he is ready to act again. I loved his performance in 8 Mile and I am really anxious to see if he’s got it inside him to bring the skills again. What do y’all think … are you excited to see Eminem on the big screen again?

How To Build A Band From Scratch

Any person who loves to play music would also love to play in a band. The most exciting thing about being part of a band is that one could become famous overnight. However, true music lovers play for the sake of having a great time and they certainly do so when they are in the company of like-minded people. You will therefore need to find people who share your interests and musical talent so that they can help you complete your band.

Artists - Build A Virtual Gallery

The average mood ring interpreter may label a green colored mood ring as being "neutral" or the default color of the mood stone. However, this "neutral" reading is only accurate if your ring is no longer on your finger. Once the mood stone begins to take on the temperature of your finger, the meaning of the green color changes.

President Obama Admits To Loving 'I Love You, Man,' So We Guess His Other Favorite Flicks

We're all big fans of Paul Rudd here at MTV Movies Blog, but we weren't aware until this weekend that our appreciation for his comedic talent is shared by Paul McCartney (who appeared with Rudd on this weekend's "Saturday Night Live") and President Barack Obama. And both of them told him in person.
That's right, Obama [...]

After eight seasons of saving the world one day at a time (literally) CTU super-agent and unequivocal badass (and the one man you never want to see on the other side of an interrogation room -- even if you are the one asking the questions) Jack Bauer signed off from Fox's "24" last May. It was a thrilling, emotional ride that saw the very flawed hero (played with Emmy-winning charisma, anger and valor by Kiefer Sutherland) foil numerous nuclear threats and presidential assassination attempts, featured one ill-advised use of a cougar, and depicted a cornucopia of sad deaths (Tony Almeida), shocking resurrections (Tony Almeida) and vile villains (also Tony Almeida!). It immortalized the line, "Dammit, Chloe! There isn't enough time!," provided topical commentary on our world's always shifting political backdrop and changed the way we think about serialized TV. In short, it was an awesome ride.

With the eight and final season -- as well as the complete series -- of "24" hitting DVD tomorrow (December 14), MTV News has scored an exclusive clip from the Season 8 DVD and Blu-ray bonus features. The clip, entitled "Goodbye," offers a behind-the-scenes peek at the series' last day of filming ever.

That final day on set saw Jack and Chloe (Mary Lynn Rajskub) facing off in a room, guns pointed at each other -- and, as the producers note, really brought into focus the simple fact that the relationship between these two characters had become the driving force behind the show. The goodbyes caught on tape in this clip are teary to be sure... but they may not be final. After all, a big-screen "24" movie has long been on Sutherland and series co-creator Joel Surnow's to-do list. And, if there's one thing we've learned over eight seasons of "24," it's that it's very hard to keep Jack Bauer from getting what he wants.

On December 17, "Tron: Legacy" will race its way onto the big screen, leaving a trail of neon light and badass action in its wake. And, in case you've been disappointed by the recent spate of movies that have added 3-D after the fact or were converted to IMAX to make a quick buck, rest assured that "Tron: Legacy" did neither of those things.

The sequel to 1986's "Tron" was filmed using 3-D cameras and has seven action-packed sequences that were shot specifically for IMAX. In other words, this is one film that was intended to be seen and heard -- and, more importantly, should be seen and heard -- in IMAX 3-D. Check out the exclusive "Tron: Legacy" featurette below for a glimpse at the grand spectacle and three-dimensional awesomeness that await.

Where to Shop for Portable Minidisc Players

Adagio for Strings was a short piece composed by Samuel Barber in 1936 for his string quartet. The beauty and emotions can be heard as well as felt in this song and, in 2004, was named the saddest classical music ever created. More recently Barber's Adagio for Strings has become popular among many DJs and music producers who have covered and sampled the song and has seen great success over the past decade, particularly within Trance music.

New 'Harry Potter' Character Posters: Up-Close And (Scary) Personal

With the November 19 release of "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 1" very quickly approaching, we Potterheads are torn between uncontrollable excitement and trepidation-bordering-on-sadness, due to the fact that this film brings us a little bit closer to the End. Of. It. All. However, conflicting emotions aside, we are happy to report [...]

Noomi RapaceNoomi Rapace, a.k.a. the original Swedish "Girl With the Dragon Tattoo," may not have landed the Lisbeth Salander role in the planned U.S. adaptation of the Millennium Trilogy... but she isn't having trouble nabbing meaty roles in other big-budget tentpoles. She's already been cast as the female lead opposite Robert Downey Jr. in "Sherlock Holmes 2," and now comes news that she's a strong candidate to play the E.T.-butt-kicking lead in Ridley Scott's 3-D "Alien" prequel.

According to Deadline, studio 20th Century Fox has also met with actresses Abbie Cornish and Carey Mulligan about the part, but Rapace reportedly left a "strong impression."

We wish we could say that Rapace -- or whoever ultimately lands the role -- will be playing a younger version of Sigourney Weaver's iconic Lt. Ellen Ripley, but, alas, that seems unlikely. Scott told Empire last year that the movie will be set roughly 30 years before the original "Alien," which would make the year 2085 and would make Ellen Ripley a zygote.

The prequel will reportedly delve into the origins of that mummified alien Ripley and co. discover in the first "Alien," and could conceivably spawn a second prequel movie (a prequel sequel).

We'd be stoked to see Rapace kick some "Alien" ass -- would you? Let us know in the comments!

How To Star in Great Expectations by Charles Dickens

Today, the dawn of the Internet and the countless custom greeting cards online are making waves anywhere in the world but no matter how great and impressive they are, there's still nothing like giving out and receiving custom cards personally. Indeed, even at a time when everyone seems to be counting on the Net, the conventional custom cards still have their own brilliant spotlight. In fact, according to some studies, a lot of people still love receiving traditional greeting cards, basically the ones that are carefully created and mailed by a loved one or a business colleague.
