The Evolution of the Acoustic Piano and Digital Piano

Ricky Nelson's "Hello Mary Lou" was a 1961 hit penned by singer Gene Pitney, whose co-writer was less well known: Cayet Mangiaracina, a Dominican priest. Mangiaracina was just out of high school in 1954 when he wrote "Merry, Merry Lou," which was recorded by Bill Haley and Sam Cooke. Pitney's "Hello Mary Lou" sounded so similar that it brought a lawsuit that led to a split of the song's credits and royalties.

Susan Lucci Slams ABC Daytime Head For Canceling All My Children!

Ouch!
Well…we didn't expect her to take this all lying down!
Susan Lucci, who recently filmed her last scenes as Erica Kane on the canceled All My Children, has decided to write one nasty, pissed off epilogue to her memoir, All My Life, slamming ABC Daytime head Brian Frons as the sole blame for the soap's demise!
She [...]

Time to give it up!

Although the judge in Dr. Conrad Murray's involuntary manslaughter trial regarding the death of Michael Jackson previously ruled that the jury would NOT be sequestered, the doc's criminal defense team has filed an appeal on that decision!

As we've reported, although his lawyers argued that his right to a fair trial would be comprised otherwise, Judge Pastor, with full support of the DA's Office, was more concerned with the cost, which would exceed $500,000, as well as how difficult it would be to cut the members off from their families.

Jury selection officially begins September 8th, with the trial expected to start up in only a few short weeks.

Oh well! Too bad, so sad!

Good luck with that appeal, now!

Is Adele Singing The Next James Bond Theme?!

Please let this happen. Please let this happen. Please let this happen.
Goddess Adele was recently made an appearance on The Jonathan Ross Show, and accidentally let it slip that she would be performing the theme to an upcoming film, and became noticeably flustered when the host inferred that it might be for the [...]

We don't know how her performance is ultimately going to turn out, but after watching this, you can't deny that she didn't throw herself into the role completely!

Check out some behind-the-scenes footage of Rihanna on the set of her first foray into acting in Battleship, during which she discusses training with the Navy for her part as a naval weapons specialist, doing her own stunts, and why the aliens in this flick are "thugs" (above)!

Ah-mazing! We can't deny that as silly as the concept sounds, this movie looks pretty badass!

And we LOVE her sense of humor in this interview, above all!

Can't wait to see how you do, gurl!

Celebrity Birthdays Today: Richard Gere, Sara Ramirez, Deborah Gibson More!

In today’s edition of Celebrity Birthdays Today, a ‘Go-Go’ turns 54, a ‘Wallflower’ is 41, and a ‘Scorpion’ turns 63. Guess who else is celebrating today? Happy Birthday, Richard Gere! The Pretty Woman actor turns 62 years old today. The trailer for his latest flick, The Double, has been released (check it out below), and I am looking forward to this thriller, due out on September 23rd. Gere plays a retired CIA agent who joins forces with a young FBI operative played by Topher Grace to investigate the murder of a Senator, whose death is thought to be at the hands of a Russian killer, presumed dead for several years. Happy Birthday, Sara Ramirez! The Grey’s Anatomy star is 36 years old today. To say that Sara’s GA character Callie and her partner Arizona had a rough time last season is an understatement. Will their angst spill over into Season 8? Rhimes said, “They went through so much last season. There was a lot of darkness. I sort of want them to get to be in the light this year. We’re going to enjoy them as mothers, see[ing] what motherhood does to their sex life, their relationship, and their work [...]

Perform An Itunes Cleanup With An Itunes Organizer

A quality audio visual system can make all the difference to a home or office. But being able to afford the most expensive components and being able to change a plug are unfortunately not the only prerequisites. In order to set up a fully functional system that performs to its capacity, it requires intelligent consultation from people that specialise in the home cinema sector.

Judy Greer Joins Two and a Half Men As Ashton Kutchers Ex Wife

The hilarious Judy Greer has been added to the cast of Two and a Half Men, tapped to play the ex-wife of Ashton Kutcher’s character, Walden Schmidt. Get the details below! CBS revealed the backstory on Kutcher’s character earlier this month and it goes a little something like this. Walden Schmidt is an ‘internet billionaire’ who is mending a broken heart. He buys the recently deceased Charlie Harper’s home, and because he is so heartbroken over the breakup with his wife he wants Allan and Jake to stay. Enter Judy Greer as Bridget, his soon to be ex-wife. She’s slated to appear in a number of episodes this season. I’m a big fan of Judy’s, who is hysterical in really everything she does. Did you see her last season in the CBS comedy Mad Love? Again, funny. So while we don’t know what Bridget’s personality is like just yet, I’d love to see her interaction with Berta, played by Conchata Ferrell, another great comedic actress. Um, tell me Berta still gets to be her sarcastic self on the show, right? Some 2.5 fans may remember that this is not the first time we’ve seen Greer on the show. She played [...]

Renovating Ideas From a Celebrity Home Expert

For years I resisted writing a narrative about my art and I felt creating the art was enough. Viewers should be able to look at my paintings and understand my intention; if I am a visual artist then I should only have to communicate visually. No matter how obvious or cryptic the image, I felt it was the responsibility of the viewer to take away what it meant to them. If they didn't get it so be it.

Legendary Crooners The Evolution of Crooner Sir Tom Jones

The heart throb of many a teenage bobby-soxer in the 1940's, Frances Albert Sinatra's career spanned over seven decades. "Ol Blue Eyes," or "The Voice", as Sinatra was often referred, took the torch from idol Bing Crosby and continued the crooning craze until the end of his career in the late 1990's. Frank Sinatra was tagged the first real pop superstar and his music remains an American standard of today. A resurgence of his easy "crooner" technique is seen in talents like Michael Buble and Michael Feinstein.

New Supernatural Season 7 Teaser Video Released

A new teaser video featuring Castiel in all of his relentless and evil glory has be unveiled by the CW. Plus get the latest news on what Mark Sheppard’s tight lip response to season 7 questions, and the upcoming appearance of Buffy alumni Charisma Carpenter and James Marster. With Supernatural season 7 gearing up for its September 23rd return, fans and the media are adamant to see where Misha Collins’ character Castiel stands, as well as his cohort Crowley. Unfortunately, it looks like spoilers from either Collins or Sheppard aren’t in the stars. Both cast members are keeping a tight lid of what’s to come for the King of Hell and the new God. Per Boomtron, Sheppard had this to say about Castiel and his character. “Look at the Season 7 trailer [shown at Comic-Con]. There’s a shot of me in the trailer, so obviously I must appear somewhere at the beginning of the season, doing something. You never know — maybe I appear for five seconds and get blown up? [Laughs] You never know, man.” Sheppard also added that the evil uprising of Cas (whose episode appearances are unknown at this point) may not be a heavenly promotion. “It’s [...]

FLStudio Download Software Review Dynamic Beat Making at an Incredible Price

When downloading music, there is always the chance of getting duplicates of the same track. It may be that the download site has a poor quality track and you want a replacement, or you may have downloaded a remixed track instead of the original, and so on. Duplicates make using iTunes difficult because you will keep coming across the same track when you are browsing.

Actually, finding the perfect guitar teacher is more of a combination of your needs, the guitar teacher's teaching abilities and approach, and a host of other issues thrown in for good measure.

The Noughties: The Least Influential Decade in Music Ever

Mickey & Sylvia's 1957 hit "Love Is Strange" featured the teasing vocals of Sylvia Robinson and the innovative guitar work of Mickey Baker; Baker's solo would influence the young Jimi Hendrix. Originally written by Bo Diddley and sold to Mickey & Sylvia for $2,000, the song's authorship was challenged in court by Diddley's guitarist Jody Williams.

Hopefully she'll be less cold to her ACTUAL child!!!

During a recent interview, child actor Jared Gilmore who previously played January/Betty Draper's son on Mad Men opened up about the actress's on-set attitude.

Here's the advice that Jared had to give his replacement actor about January:

"Be careful around January [Jones]. She’s not as approachable as the others. She’s really serious about what she does. Everyone else is so nice."

Brrrr, Ms. Jones! We think it's great that you're very focused while at work....but just because your character Betty Draper is cold DOESN'T mean you also have to be cold, especially to the kids on set!

Just sayin'!

Check Out This Incredible Acoustic Performance From Kylie Minogue!

It's hard to breathe when she's this good!!!
While on her Aphrodite World Tour, Kylie Minogue took some time to perform a very chill, very pretty acoustic version of her song, Breathe.
Such a talent! No one will ever compare!
Ch-ch-check out the video (above) to see the backstage, acoustic performance!
U like?

We'll get to the kiddies in a second, but can we just say how thrilled we are that Sarah Jessica Parker is not only admitting that a third Sex & The City movie is in the works, but also that she's given serious thought to it. That shows some loyalty. Bravo!

This Parade has an extensive interview with the momma/actress about how she juggles her three kids and her career. It's obviously not a simple task, but its one SJP takes a lot of pride in.

Here are some of the HIGHlights from her interview:

On James Wilkie wanting to be an actor and eager to start auditioning: “I don’t want him to do it until after he goes to college: But part of me thinks maybe it’s better if he knows the truth now about how hard it is to be a working actor. I don’t know that he grasps what it took to get us here.”

On the difficulty of balancing career and motherhood: “We’ve had two occasions recently where both Matthew and I were working, and it was so hard on the kids. Especially James Wilkie, because he can really articulate how he feels about our absence. On the other hand, there are big chunks of time when we’re home a lot more than conventionally working parents. So you hope to make up for it.”

On fraternal twins Loretta and Tabitha: “They’re talking, they’re running, they need me. Loretta is deeply inquisitive: ‘Do you see that, do you hear that, Mama?’ She constantly checks that we are connecting with her.” Her sister is the family princess: “Tabitha does not give; she receives.”

On using babysitters, but not live-in help: “We love closing the door and having the only people in the house be our three children and us. It’s such a good feeling to know that we’re competent and capable and that it’s private."

On any chance for a third Sex and the City movie: “There is. I know what the story is. It’s a small story, but I think it should be told. The question is, what’s the right time to tell it?”

The right time ... is now!

What You Can Learn From Songwriting Genius And Film Composer John Williams

If you are a serious gamer, then I am pretty sure that you have lots of CDs of video games lying in the floor of your room, in your bed, in the living room or in the gaming room. This may include video game, manuals and the likes. However, leaving them scattered in your house will not only irritate your mother, there is also a bigger chance that it will be broken or misplaced. With all the money you have spent on these CDs, I know that you do not want to waste all these. Plus, having a more systematized and organized system, you can lessen the clutter, keep them in a proper place and of course, you will not have to spend so much time looking for the CD that you will use.
